What Devices Does Social Chat Support?
Livestreaming is supported on desktop and mobile devices. Note that the screen will change from a horizontal to vertical view depending on if you use a desktop or mobile device. The same desktop broadcasting best practices also apply to mobile.
There Are Two Ways to Use a Mobile Device to Livestream
1. During the initial creation of the live event

- In the left sidebar, navigate to Events > Create a New Event.
- At the bottom of the event creation form, click Show Advanced Settings to reveal a dropdown menu.
- Toggle on Mobile Portrait Mode.
2. After the live event has been created
- In the left sidebar, navigate to Events > Manage Events, and then choose an event.
- On the event summary page, click Edit Event.
- At the bottom of the event creation form, click Show Advanced Settings to reveal a dropdown menu.
- Toggle on Mobile Portrait Mode.
How to Begin a Live Event on a Mobile Device
- To go live using a mobile device, login to Social Chat on any mobile browser and login.
- Begin a live event like you would on a desktop.
