What are Live Events?
Live events are a one-way video interface where audience members watch in real-time and have the chance to interact with you via live chat. In this article, we’ll go over the basics of live streaming for your business, and give you some best practices to consider when going live.
Livestreaming Best Practices
1. Event Banner
The recommended image size for an event banner is 730 x 325 px. Ideally, you should use a PNG, Wepp, or JPG format that all browsers support and render quickly.
2. Video Quality
The quality of the video (its resolution and frame rate) is dependent on the broadcaster's network. Social Chat's broadcasting technology adjusts the video's resolution and frame rates based on the capacity of the broadcaster's network at any given moment. To ensure a high quality livestream (720p), we recommend the following network speeds:
- For Each Host: We recommend network speeds of 3MB/s upload and 3MB/s download speed.
